Abstract

The paper analyzes the factors underlying transition from social-economic to strategic planning of cities. On the basis of a broad review of international and Russian works on management in the implementation of strategic plans, conclusions are made on the close interrelationship between strategic planning and monitoring plan implementation in the practice of strategic and operational management of urban renewal.
