Efficient catalytic synthesis of N-cycloalkyl-1,5,3-dithiazepanes

Abstract

An efficient procedure has been developed for the synthesis of N-cycloalkyl-1,5,3-dithiazepanes by recyclization of 1-oxa-3,6-dithiacycloheptane with cycloalkylamines in the presence of SmCl3 · 6 H2O as catalyst.
