Abstract
Joint condensation of 3,6-dioctyloxyphthalonitrile (component A) and tetrachlorophthalonitrile (component B) in 1-hexanol in the presence of lithium 1-hexanolate afforded dilithium complexes of phthalocyanines A3B, AABB, and ABAB. Their reaction with chlorolutetium tetrabenzoporphyrinate resulted in the formation of double-decker heteroligand lutetium complexes containing chromophores of tetrabenzoporphyrin and phthalocyanines of low symmetry.
