Adamantane functionalization. synthesis of polyfunctional derivatives with various substituents in bridgehead positions

Abstract

Published data on the methods of the synthesis of polyfunctional adamantane derivatives with various substituents at the tertiary carbon atoms of the adamantane framework are generalized and analyzed.

Shokova Elvira Aleksandrovna was born in Moscow. She graduated from the chemical faculty of Moscow State University and the post-graduate course at the faculty. She is Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Leading Scientist of the chemical faculty of Moscow State University.

Area of scientific interest: chemistry of derivatives of adamantane and calixarenes, problems of molecular recognition and synthetic receptors, adamantyl-calixarene containing blocks in the synthesis of phlegacologic compounds.

Kovalev Vladimir Vasil’evich was born in 1952 in Kamenka village, Moscow oblast. He graduated from the chemical faculty of Moscow State University in 1974. He is Candidate of Chemical Sciences since 1978, Doctor of Chemical Sciences since 1991. He is the Head of the laboratory of macrocyclic receptors at the chemical faculty of Moscow State University since 2001.

Area of scientific interest: organic and supramolecular chemistry, chemistry of carbo- and heterocyclic compounds.
