Solvent effect on the kinetics of carbamoylation of alcohols

Abstract

Solvent effect on the rate of the reaction of phenyl isocyanate with alcohols may be described by multiparameter linear equations. Correlation analysis of the effects of various factors showed that specific solvation inhibits the reaction and that increased solvent polarity favors the process.
