Abstract
The formula of a shop primer based on a high-molecular-mass epoxy resin and an acid curing agent was calculated. The physicomechanical characteristics of the paint-and-varnish coating based on this primer were determined. The effect of the primer composition on the arc welding in an inert gas medium and on the quality of the weld seam without primer removal was examined.
