Production of Luminescent Europium(III) Compounds with para-Methoxycinnamic Acid

Abstract

Mixed-ligand Eu(III) compounds with para-methoxycinnamic acid and nitrogen-containing ligands have been synthesized. The synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. It was shown that during the thermolysis of the complexes, the detachment of the nitrogen-containing ligand molecule occurs in one stage with exo- and endothermic effects, and the compounds are thermally stable up to 250°C. The synthesized complex compounds were introduced into high pressure polyethylene. Luminescent polymeric materials have been produced.
