Experience of Use of Melt Polymeric Binders for the Manufacture of Prepregs of Organoplastics

Abstract

The results of a study of the characteristics of aramid prepregs obtained from melt binders and organoplastics based on these prepregs are shown. The use of melt binders instead of solvent ones ensures the environmental safety of the production of aramid prepregs, increases the resistance of organoplastics to moisture and other environmental factors, the tightness of thin-sheet casing, as well as the possibility of combining aramid prepregs with modern carbon fiber prepregs to create hybrid designs.
