Abstract

The interrelation of the synthesis conditions of polyvinyl alcohol chain branching products under the action of epichlorohydrin in an alkaline medium was established with the kinetic laws of swelling of films based on them in water. It was shown that conditions conducing to an increase in the branching density of the polyvinyl alcohol chain lead to an increase in the equilibrium degree of swelling in water. The possibility of growing cells of the M-22 line on the surface of branched polyvinyl alcohol films was demonstrated, which indicates their biocompatibility.
