Substantiation of the operating life of gas piezosensors in detection of vapors of organic compounds

Abstract

Specific features of the baseline drift are considered for piezosensors with different kinds of coatings in the course of prolonged operation in vapors of organic compounds of concentration varied in a wide range. The influence exerted on the results of qualitative analysis by the step of compensation of the piezosensor signal drift in the course of prolonged operation is evaluated. Sorption efficiency parameters A ij and kinetic coefficients of sorption γ i for concentrated and dilute vapors of substances are suggested and substantiated as identification parameters, and variation of the behavior of these parameters depending on the vapor concentration is demonstrated. The operating life of piezosensors with different coatings in sorption of vapors of organic substances, taking into account the compensation of the signal drift, is determined. An algorithm based on the principal component analysis is used for the drift compensation and substantiation of the operating life of piezosensors.
