Abstract

The problem of separation of close boiling point mixtures by example of separation of chloroform from the impurities of 1,1-dichloroethane and cis-dichloroethylene was considered. It was proposed to use supercritical separating agent for removal of contaminants with similar boiling points. In order to carrying out the separation of such mixtures it was proposed a technique of selection of a co-solvent. An equation of phase equilibrium on the basis of group contributions and the modified Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation was considered. A calculation of equilibrium in the example with chloroform and chloroform (with impurities)-tetrafluoroethane was made by the Soave-Redlich-Kwong equation. The phase diagram, by which a range of separation conditions can be determined, was constructed.
