Abstract

Process of sulfation of the Co-Ni thiospinel concentrate containing platinum metals with concentrated sulfuric acid was studied in the temperature range 100–300°C. It is shown that the sulfuric acid concentration, temperature, process duration, and s: l ratio affect the degree of sulfation of the Co-Ni thiospinels. The behavior of platinum metals in the course of sulfation is considered.
