Abstract
A new solid-state procedure was suggested for preparing nanocomposites based on starch and Namontmorillonite in a vibration mill with balls. The procedure has certain advantages over the extrusion process. The influence exerted on the structure of nanocomposite samples by the mechanical treatment time and layered silicate concentration was examined. Changes in the size of starch macromolecules after treatment in the vibration reactor were estimated. The thermal properties of the formed nanocomposites were studied.
