Abstract

The possibility was demonstrated for obtaining a heat-insulating material from silica-containing product formed in acid treatment of nepheline produced at the Open Joint Stock Company Apatit. Granular porous material based on silica fume was prepared. The heat conductivity of the bulk material was 0.075–0.08 W m−1 deg−1.
