Abstract
N-Arylnicotinamides were synthesized by acylating of aniline, 1- and 2-naphthylamines by nicotinic acid chloride, then 3-(N-arylcarboxamido)-N-benzylpyridinium chlorides were obtained by their benzylation. The influence of the synthesized compounds on the corrosion of 08 kp steel in 3 M hydrochloric acid at 20–80°C was studied.
