Synthesis of butyl rubber by cationic polymerization in methyl chloride in the presence of alkyl chlorides

Abstract

The copolymerization of isobutylene with isoprene in methyl chloride in the presence of a catalytic system based on aluminum chloride and modified with alkyl chlorides was studied systematically.
