Abstract

The possibility of replacing zinc chloride by a zinc-containing complex as a catalyst of chloromethylation of styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer was examined, and the effect of the catalyst on the service characteristics of the highly basic anion exchanger obtained was evaluated.
