Synthesis and properties of aliphatic oligoamides containing methionine fragment

Abstract

Oligoamides were prepared from dimerized fatty acid, hexamethylenediamine, and an amino acid (methionine). The effect of methionine on the course of polycondensation and properties of the reaction products was examined. New thermoplastic adhesive compounds based on these products were developed.
