Abstract

The reaction of copper sulfate, boric acid, and sodium hydroxide in an aqueous solution was studied in relation to the molar ratio and concentration of components, solution pH, temperature, and reaction duration. The conditions under which tricuprotetraborate hexahydrate 3CuO · 2B2O3 · 6H2O is formed were determined.
