Abstract

Heats of solution of cyclohexane and squalane in mixtures of 1-octanol with acetone or 1,4-dioxane within the entire range of compositions were measured calorimetrically. The enthalpies of solution of cyclohexane, squalane, and hexadecane in the mixtures of acetone or 1,4-dioxane with 1-octanol show linear correlation. Enthalpies of solvation of propane, decane, and eicosane in these mixtures were calculated.
