Abstract
The dynamics of the ecological state of Lake Ladoga over the period 1946‒2015 was assessed. The biodiversity index (Shannon index) and the dominance index (relative community organization) were calculated. The calculations were based on the data on the catches of ten fish species. Over the period under review, the Shannon index showed “high” negative trend. For the period 1976‒2015, a “very tight” correlation (according to the Chaddock scale) between the Shannon indices and the concentrations of total phosphorus in the lake was revealed.
