Abstract
Synthesis of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one derivatives in the presence of eco-friendly ionic liquid [DBU][OAc] via a one-pot three-component environmentally benign reaction has been carried out. The multi-component reaction proceeds with initial formation of an isatoic anhydride from aromatic aldehydes and aromatic amines in [DBU][OAc] as ionic liquid medium at 70–75°C with 85–90% yield. The products have been tested for cell viability against A549 and PC-3 cell lines. Among the tested products, compounds 4d and 4f demonstrate efficient cell toxicity. The target protein and ligand interactions have been modelled by molecular docking using AutoDockTools.
