Synthesis and Anti-MAO Activity of Alkylation Products of 2-Aminobenzamide, 2-Amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)propane-1,3-diol, and Some Amino Acids with Mono- and Bis-β-aminoketones

Abstract

Reactions of substituted 3-(diethylamino)propan-1-ones hydrochlorides with 2-aminobenzamide, 2-amino-1-(4-nitrophenyl)propane-1,3-diol and some amino acids afforded the corresponding β-amino-ketones. 2,2′-{1,ω-alkane-diylbis[oxy-4,1-phenylene(3-oxo-3,1-propanediyl)imino]}bisbenzamides were synthesized in the same way. Anti-MAO activity of the synthesized compounds was studied.
