Russian experience in solid radioactive waste processing: Achievements and prospects

Abstract

Plasma technology not only solves the problem of the elimination of the newly formed NPP operational waste, but also provides deep thermal processing of radioactive waste accumulated before or compacted in drums to make room for storage of solid radioactive waste.
