Abstract
The novel compounds of the MIIIU2O7.5 type (with MIII being yttrium or lanthanides from terbium to lutetium) have been prepared via hydrothermal synthesis from hydrated uranium(VI) oxide and aqueous solutions of M(III) nitrates at 200°C. Composition and structure of the products have been studied by means of elemental analysis, high-temperature X-ray diffraction, and IR spectroscopy; the products thermal stability has been estimated.
