Abstract

Sodium borosilicate glass, with the ratio R = [Na2O]/[B2O3] varied from 0.31 to 1, were studied by IR spectroscopy and Raman scattering techniques. The dependence of the structure of borosilicate glasses on their composition was studied also for the section with a constant value R = 1. The main borate and silicate groups in the system, and especially changes in the structure of glasses depending on the ratio R were identified.
