Abstract

The reaction products of polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride with the Cu2+, Zn2+, and Ni2+ ions, which are the polyligand coordination compounds formed by polyguanidine and hydroxyl ligands, were studied using IR, UV, and ESR spectroscopy. The influence of the nature of the chelating agent on the structure of the complexes formed was revealed. Antibacterial properties of the synthesized complexes were assessed.
