Abstract

A high organophylic and hydrophobic activity of the polyfluoroalkyl-oligo-ɛ-caproamide as a modifier of Na+-montmorillonite was revealed using the methods of derivatography and IR spectroscopy. The effect of the degree of oligomerization of polyfluoroalkyl-oligo-ɛ-caproamide and telomerization of the polyfluoroalkyl residue on the ability to intercalate into the layered structure of the clay was demonstrated.
