  • Published:
Russian Journal of General Chemistry Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

In Russia, a wide range of heat-insulation materials meeting up-to-date requirements of domestic shipbuilding standards and international safety standards have been developed, which allowed to provide necessary materials to shipbuilding enterprises.

Further work in this field envisions development of perspective nonflammable heat- and sound-insulating materials for ships of all classes and destinations, due to introduction of new binders and fillers [7–10], and improvement of production and application technologies of such materials.
