Unexpected formation of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine system from simple linear components

Abstract

A system of pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine series was obtained in a one-pot synthesis from diethyl ethoxymethylidenemalonic acid, cyanothioacetamide, and allyl bromide.
