Two different processes, oxidation of the simplest alkylarenes in aqueous solutions and assessment of antiradical activity of natural antioxidants in blood serum by the rate of formation of fluorescing products from fluorescein dibutyrate, are characterized from a common viewpoint of the involvement in the reactions of air oxygen dissolved in the reaction medium.
