Syntheses, Structures, Luminescence Properties of Two Coordination Polymers Constructed by a Semirigid Aromatic Multicarboxylite Ligand

Abstract

Two new coordination polymers, namely {[Zn3(bcpmba)2(Py)6]·2H2O}n (I) and {[Cd(Hbcpmba)]· H2O}n (II) (H3bcpmba = 3,5-bi(4-carboxy-phenylene-methylene-oxy)-benzoic acid, Py = pyridine) have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. All the compounds are characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (CIF file. CCDC nos. 2051308 (I) and 2051312 (II)), IR spectra, thermal st-ability analysis, and elemental analyses. Compounds I and II are all 2D porous CPs. The effects of the bcpmba3− anions, and the N-donor ligands on the structures of the coordination polymers have been discussed. Moreover, their photoluminescence properties and thermal stability of them have been investigated.
