Stability analysis of hybrid magnetic bearings

Abstract

A mathematical model of noncontact bearings consisting of high-coercivity permanent magnets and electromagnetic control system is presented. The model is used to prove the stability of the rotor installed on such bearings by the Lyapunov method.
