Abstract

A new method for controlling the aircraft takeoff process and the possibility of creation of an onboard decision making support system based on it are substantiated. Takeoff is controlled by estimation of a specially introduced function called the “effective takeoff mass”. An approach providing the formation of a criterion of making the decision on acceptability of the takeoff process and the choice of its parameters is considered. The format of presentation of the information about the takeoff process to the crew is described.
