Abstract
The possibility to develop stationary functional models describing the relationships between the macroparameters of a phytocenosis-soil system (the productivity, phytomass, and the humus content in the topsoil) based on the basin (catchment) approach is shown. A river basin is considered an integrated system, the productivity of which is determined by the interrelated subsystems-the forest and meadow phytocenoses-functioning under conditions that restrict their growth. A generalized spatially distributed model for the river basin can be used for analyzing the stationary states of the phytocenosis-soil system and the characterization of the phytocenosis’s productivity taking into account the biodiversity and the spatial organization of the landscapes and the modern system of land use.
