Abstract
Topology of indium antimonide planar photodiode crystals (PDCs) is modernized to provide stability against short-wavelength (λ ≤ 1 μm) irradiation, and the results of modernization are experimentally evaluated. It is shown that PDCs the contact systems of which include screens that are opaque for short-wavelength radiation are stable against the short-wavelength irradiation at working temperatures close to 77 K. The requirements for the geometrical parameters, position, and electrical contacts of screens in the PDC contact system are determined and experimentally confirmed.
