Abstract
The problem of diagnostics of the elements of a phased array antenna (PAA) with interacting PAA elements with the use of signals reflected from radiator-free space junctions is considered. Methods for design of experiments and processing of the measured data that increase the reliability of PAA diagnostics are proposed for arrays in which mutual coupling of PAA elements cannot be disregarded. Experimental data confirming the adequacy of derived mathematical expressions to the studied PAA and the efficiency of proposed processing methods are obtained.
