Abstract
A rigorous solution to the problem on the normal incidence of a plane electromagnetic wave on a linear layer of planar stratified cold plasma of a finite thickness is expressed in terms of the Airy functions. It is numerically shown that the electric field near the zero permittivity can substantially increase. The Ginzburg solution for a linear semi-infinite layer is improved.
