Abstract
The finite-difference time-domain method is used to develop the complete electrodynamic model of a TEM horn with exponential longitudinal distribution of the wave impedance. This model is used for optimization of the antenna flare angle, which is aimed at the improvement of the radiation characteristics of an ultrashort pulse with a given shape.
