Abstract

A model of the interference field generated by optical waveguide emitters is presented. The model of the interference field is based on the method of partial diagrams in which the expansion of the fields employs an alternative system of basis functions (with respect to the conventional system). The model yields sufficient data on the characteristics of the devices that serve as emitters of a system of optical waveguides.
