A method of non-symmetric noise-stable aperture adaptation in problems of nonparametric image filtering

Abstract

A method of nonparametric filtering of images distorted by impulse noise based on the simultaneous use of algorithms of optimal estimation of noise localization, the algorithm of noise-stable gradient contour separation with adaptive Prewitt masks, and procedures of nonsymmetric adaptation of the filter aperture to contour characteristics of the processed image is presented.
