Abstract

The main problems of the nonlinear programming (stiffness of the problem and a rapid decrease in the optimization accuracy with increasing dimension of the minimized functional) are analyzed using an example of the simulation of a semiconductor diode. The dimension reduction of the numerical-optimization problem and the synthesis of semiphysical models are proposed for the diagnostics (parametric optimization).
