Abstract

The modified discrete source method is extended to the problem of wave scattering by a body embedded in a continuously layered medium. An effective algorithm is developed for calculation of the Green’s function. The algorithm is based on integration in the complex plane. Coordinate dependences of the field are obtained for various types of the layered medium surrounding the scatterer.
