Abstract

On the basis of the analysis of the variations in the characteristics of a magnetostatic surface wave propagating in an inhomogeneously magnetized plane ferrite/dielectric structure, the physical mechanism of transformation of this wave into an electromagnetic wave has been studied and the radiation patterns have been calculated at various parameters of the structure for the case of a slowly changing surface impedance. The earlier experimental results are analyzed on the basis of these theoretical studies.
