Abstract
The collocation method applied for the electrodynamic analysis of an open rectangular dielectric waveguide is considered. The mathematical apparatus of the correlation theory is used to choose the distribution of collocation nodes. The dispersion equation for the fundamental mode of the structure is solved, the convergence of the solution is investigated, and the electromagnetic-field components on the medium interface are calculated.
