Abstract
We have studied the possibility of using additional RF plasma heating in a stationary plasma thruster (SPT) so as to increase its characteristics. A modified model of the ATON-type plasma source has been created, in which an additional RF power can be introduced into the buffer zone of the thruster channel. The integral and local characteristics of the modified SPT have been studied and analyzed in comparison to those of the nonmodified thruster.
