Abstract
We describe a permanent magnetic field sensor based on a radially polarized piezoelectric ring, with one electrode carrying alternating current. The device operation principle combines the Ampére force and piezoeffect. The magnetic sensor is characterized by a reduced responsivity of up to 0.2 V/(kOe A). The response is linear in a range of fields up to several hundred kOe.
