Abstract
The effect of the pulse duration on the supersonic flow in an expanding channel under conditions of periodic pulsed energy supply is considered. It is established that the specific force acting upon the channel wall exhibits a nonmonotonic dependence on the pulse duration and is much higher for short pulses as compared to the case of stationary energy supply.
