Concentration-driven magnetization switching phase transitions in ultrathin Fe1 − x Co x films

Abstract

Concentration-driven magnetization switching phase transitions in ultrathin Fe1 − x Co x films have been studied. It is established that, in addition to the easy-axis and easy-plane phases, a spatially inhomogeneous phase (domain structure) can exist in the system. The critical concentrations of cobalt are evaluated, the types of phase transitions are determined, and the corresponding phase diagrams are constructed.
