Abstract
A series of LiNbO3:Tb crystals ([Tb] = 0.1–2.89 wt %) and nominally pure lithium niobate crystals of congruent (LiNbO3cong) and almost stoichiometric compositions (LiNbO3near stoich) were grown. The concentration relationships of physicochemical and structural properties of LiNbO3:Tb crystals are studied. The structural parameters of LiNbO3:Tb crystals are compared with those of LiNbO3cong and LiNbO3near stoich.
